Rockport is a seaside town in Essex County, Massachusetts. Rockport is located approximately 40 miles northeast of Boston at the tip of the Cape Ann peninsula. It is directly east of Gloucester and is surrounded on three sides by the Atlantic Ocean. Rockport, especially the Pigeon Cove area, has historically been home to fishermen. Rockport is home to 52 commercial lobstermen landing 1,424,290 pounds of lobster annually.
