Salem

Salem is a city on the north coast of Massachusetts above Boston. Salem Maritime is the first National Historic Site established in the United States, March 17, 1938, also famous for its 1692 witch trials, during which several locals were executed for allegedly practicing witchcraft. Salem is home to 10 commercial lobstermen landing 139,918 pounds of lobster annually.
